Jess wanted a strawberry cake so that's what I made her. I'm writing this a year later and I can't remember anything about the day. That's what I get for not writing sooner. Oh well, Happy Birthday Jess.

Dan's 52nd Birthday
Brady made Dan the best cake. Maybe you didn't notice, but it's a "behind". It says, "You're the moon to us -Happy B-Day". Brady is so clever, takes after his parents.

Spinal Cord Stimulator Implanted
On May 20, Dr. Eric Hooley implanted a spinal cord stimulator into my back. The surgery went well. I didn't recover as quickly as I thought I would immediately after the surgery, due to the pain. So I was admitted to the hospital to spend the night and gain control over the pain.
The stimulator didn't work as well as I hoped it would. I kept having to have it adjusted by Josh. It never quite it the "sweet spot". Josh kept telling me to be patient. I recovered quite well.

Easter Egg Hunt for the big and the small
We had a fun Easter egg hunt with the big kids and then the little kids. I can't remember what day we did it on. I made a special Easter cake for the occasion. We invited Livi Kenney to join the little kids hunt. She's part of the family so are her parents. The older kids love the hunt perhaps more than the little ones do. They always felt left out when my dad would have Easter egg hunts and let the little kids go first and by the time it was their turn, most of the eggs were gone. And those eggs had money in them. They never felt like it was very fair. They were a lot younger when this happened and as a result, I do one for them every year with money in the eggs. They like that! !
