The Trek

It was Ethan's chance to go on the Trek this year. They left on June 29th. They didn't get to go to Martin's Cove in Wyo., which I got to go to when I was in young womens. Martin's Cove was a great experience, especially the mass grave that Pres. Hinckley dedicated by Rocky Ridge. I felt the Spirit at the grave site so strong, that I was brought to tears that streamed down my cheeks.

Ethan's trek was at Hardware Ranch. I know he had a wonderful time and it was a great experience for him, even though he didn't want to be in a family with people he didn't know. He was a trooper and went with a smile on his face.

Ethan's has a bad back. . .darn it!

Ethan has been complaining of his back hurting for a while. Ever since football practice started and weight lifting began. He had a MRI done and went to Dr. Lyons and he told us that he had three bulging discs and it would seem that he inherited my back problems. He had Ethan to physical therapy for a while. That was the summer that Ethan dropped out of football. I feel so bad for him. He loved playing and I loved watching him. But the most important thing is for him to take care of his back. Dr. Lyons even recommended that he not play, as he doesn't want him to have years of pain. . . . me neither.

Warner Family Reunion

The Warner Family Reunion was held at Missy and Greg's house for a one day event. We had lunch, played volleyball, the kids played outside, some people slept, and I laid down a lot as I had just gotten the spinal cord stimulator implanted in May. It was great to have the whole family there. Dana and her family came too. It was a perfect reunion lasting only one day. It worked for this year. Thanks Miss and Greg for planning it.

Jess' 30th Birthday Dinner

Jess wanted a strawberry cake so that's what I made her. I'm writing this a year later and I can't remember anything about the day. That's what I get for not writing sooner. Oh well, Happy Birthday Jess.

Dan's 52nd Birthday

Brady made Dan the best cake. Maybe you didn't notice, but it's a "behind". It says, "You're the moon to us -Happy B-Day". Brady is so clever, takes after his parents.
