We had a fun Easter egg hunt with the big kids and then the little kids. I can't remember what day we did it on. I made a special Easter cake for the occasion. We invited Livi Kenney to join the little kids hunt. She's part of the family so are her parents. The older kids love the hunt perhaps more than the little ones do. They always felt left out when my dad would have Easter egg hunts and let the little kids go first and by the time it was their turn, most of the eggs were gone. And those eggs had money in them. They never felt like it was very fair. They were a lot younger when this happened and as a result, I do one for them every year with money in the eggs. They like that! !

Brady's 25th Birthday
Brady's 25th birthday dinner. He wanted the cake that had the dots inside the cake mix and the rainbow colored chip frosting, not as festive as other cakes I've made. I can't remember what we had for dinner. I'm writing this a year later trying to get 2009's blog printed. Dana and Jason and kids came for the party. Dana made her famous fleece blanket for Brady. . . Scooby Doo. I think Danton gave him the hats. We gave him the usual, a hundred dollar bill. Plus we gave him the game shown in the pictures. I can't even remember the name of it. We all played it and the house got quite noisy.

Don't you love the color from our new TV. The screen almost looks like a picture. After dinner, we came downstairs to watch Horton Hears a Who. This is one of Dan's favorite movies. He memorized the Horton Hatches an Egg book, when he was a boy, ask him to tell it to you. Can't seem to keep Konnor off the tables in the house.

Went to Lunch in Layton
I met Tawnya, Bob, dad, and Nancy at Sizzler for dad's birthday lunch. That's all I have to say about that.
Finally Done
We finally finished remodeling the basement family room. It was a lot of work. We put the furniture from upstairs down and got new stuff for the family room upstairs. The furniture isn't as comfy as the old stuff. We watched our first movie on the big TV and it was wonderful. The surround sounds is awesome. Everything looks better on it. General conference will be a new experience. I've never wanted a big TV but I gave in to the "boy's club", the males that I live with. Ethan now brings all his friends over to our house on the weekends. My grocery bill has gone up. . . oh well. They're all good kids. All is good.
