Danton's Birthday Dinner

Dan and I came up with a cool cake for Danton this year. As you can see it's a skeleton, with mice all over it and yes, that's mouse droppings. Not the real kind, though. . . . .DUH! It was one of those "Better than _ _ _" cakes. I colored the whipped cream green for the grass and made homemade English toffee and crumbled it on top. It was yummy. Danton invited his best friend, James Grieder to his dinner. James has been a good from ever since high school. Dana and the kids came too. The pictures will tell the story better than I can.

I just have to say, I think this cake is one of the best of our creations. Gross for Halloween, yet yummy to the tummy.

Allen's Farewell

Allen Warner's mission farewell. He gave a wonderful talk. It was great to have all the family there but Gradon. We had a mighty fine dinner at Russ and Teresa's home. This is where the pictures are taken, in their new home in Sprinville, UT.

Sadie Hawkins Dance

Ethan was asked to the Sadie Hawkins dance by a girl that I don't know. I think she's a sophomore from Hyde Park. Her dad owns the bowling alley in Logan. He carved a pumpkin with the word YES in the middle. He did a great job carving it. This was his way of answering her. We put a colored battery light in it and he placed it on her porch and left. Cute! Danton did the same thing once when he was answering a girl. It's a great idea for October dances, I'm so clever. . . .lol

Fun time at the Circus

We took Taylor and Konnor to the Circus at the old "Salt Palace", I think it was in August. We had a great time. I think my pictures turned out pretty good. I think the kids had fun. I bought those tubes that once you bend them, they light up and you can hook them together. It helped to have them as the circus people were selling toys that were over 20 dollars a piece. So I gave the kids the tubes to play with on the ride home. We took them to eat at McDonalds before the circus, I had candy in my back pack, which saved us a lot of money for the outrageous circus treats and then went to Nelson's Frozen Custard afterwards.
